HEALTH CARE WORKERS URGE ALBANY TO PROTECT HEALTHCARE

One March 24th, hundreds of health care workers from across the state descended upon Albany to urge elected officials not to cut healthcare funding in New York State.

Healthcare Education Project members met with legislators and urged them to ensure that the state has the resources needed to provide quality health care to all communities. Members from Queens County spoke to their legislators about impact of last years closing of Mary Immaculate and St. Johns Hospital in Queens.  Health Care workers warned of the devastating impact another round of health care cuts would have considering that the health care sector has already survived seven rounds of cuts in the past three years.
